Snow! 11/03/2009
Yesterday we had a fresh snowfall - you've never seen such big flakes. The elves always get very excited when the snow falls, which is very strange indeed as it snows all year round here. Aren't we lucky, snowball fights, sledging, building snowmen and making snow angels whenever we want to - except when we're busy making presents for all the good boys and girls of course! Yesterday the elves had a competition as to who could build the biggest snowman and my dear friend Elf Oscar was the winner, his snowman was bigger than me! As a reward I'm going to let him tell you his favourite joke today: What do you get if you cross an apple with a Christmas tree? A pineapple! Ho ho ho, Elf Oscar, very funny! Elf Jokes 10/29/2009
Well time is really rushing by and Mrs C informs me that there are only 56 days until Christmas. Things are so busy here but we always have time to make some fun. Today the elves have been having a joke competition and I would love to share with you the winning jokes: What do elves sing to Santa? Freeze a jolly good fellow! What's the first thing that elves learn in school? The elf-abet!! And the first prize went to this joke: Why did the elf put his bed into the fireplace? Because he wanted to sleep like a log! We've been chuckling in the workshop all afternoon. Love Santa x Painting The Sleigh 10/16/2009
Ho ho ho boys and girls Congratulations! 09/24/2009
Hello boys and girls, I have some very exciting news for you! Yesterday a new baby elf was born here in the North Pole! He is a very beautiful little boy elf, and his Mummy and Daddy have called him Fogel. I've just got back from visiting him and he is absolutely adorable! It's a time of great celebration here when a new elf is born. Banners are strung up on the cottages and candles are lit in every window. Elves are jolly little fellows all the time, but when a new one is born they get even happier and it is quite a sight to behold. There is singing and dancing and general merriment from dusk to dawn. Presents have been piled up outside the cottage of the parents and Mrs Claus has knitted little Fogel a lovely blanket. Welcome to the world little Fogel Love Santa X Elves 09/23/2009
Hello boys and girls I thought today that I might tell you a bit about the dear little creatures known as elves. They really are very special and I certainly could not do my job without their help. Elf Facts: * Elves have so much energy, they are never still for a moment! * Elves love to eat anything sweet, especially candy canes, so I have to make sure they eat a healthy diet. * Elves have exactly the same facial features as you and I, except for their pointy ears. * All the young elves attend Elf School. * Elves come in all shapes and sizes, though not one of them is over 3 feet tall. I hope you are all having a splendid day. Much love Santa x PS the reindeer loved their newly decorated barn! Painting the Reindeer Barn 09/22/2009
Hello boys and girls It's another busy day here in the North Pole! Today the elves and I will be painting the reindeer barn. It's a job I've been meaning to do for ages, and as the sun was shining brightly when I awoke I thought it was time to get going! Dasher and Prancer and all the other reindeer are extremely excited. We have moved them out into the paddock so that they can watch us working. We've chosen red and silver and green paints, so it should look very jolly when we have finished. Love Santa x Being Happy 09/21/2009
Being happy is one thing that I'm really good at. but then again who wouldn't be happy with a life like mine! I'm married to the absolutely wonderful Mrs Claus who does a super job of looking after me, I have hundreds of happy little elves for my friends and the amazing reindeers for my pets. I spend my days making toys, reading your lovely letters and having snowball fights. Heaven! Anyway for those of you who aren't so lucky, I thought you might want to watch this great video I've come accross. I really hope you enjoy it. Much love Santa x Santa is on Twitter! 09/19/2009
